Pocono Raceway LOVES Winter!
I
t is wintertime and this may come as a shock to you, but Pocono Raceway loves winter. Yes, it is cold and it may snow three feet tomorrow, but we really enjoy it. This time of year allows for us to get out and enjoy everything the Pocono Mountains has to offer this time of year. We love to ski/snowboard, ride snowmobiles, go snow tubing and we love to visit all the local restaurants and shops. This time of year also allow our staff to review everything we did last year and start planning the 2019 season. It is no secret that we get a little busy once the NASCAR and INDYCAR seasons begin. This usually keeps us focused on our summer events. So, the break in the activities at the track, really help us focus on our 2019 plans. For instance, you may have heard kids (ages 12 and under) can attend all races at the track for FREE next summer! We have always allowed children to attend our Friday and Saturday event days, held during our NASCAR/INDYCAR weekends, in for free. But, starting in 2019, we have extended this family cost-saver to Sundays! We are so excited about it. Also, more exciting news was just announced during our ‘offseason’… We will host the Greater Pocono Raceway Air Show on August 24th and 25th! There will tons of activities for families and air-show enthusiasts during this two-day show. Both event days will feature amazing aerial spectacles and interactive displays for all ages to enjoy. This is going to be a must-see event here at ‘The Tricky Triangle’ next summer.
