The Snoqualmie Valley Record’s 2019
SPOTLIGHT ON BUSINESS
Here in the Valley, residents need their local businesses just as much as the businesses need the residents. Whether it’s groceries, a gift, or a garage door, it’s almost always faster and easier to turn to local businesses. The businesses in the Valley are part of the foundation of the community, not just because they are staffed with locals who worry about the
same issues facing the entire community, but also because they choose to be here. They pay their share of rising property taxes and licensing and permit fees and business taxes, to maintain a full crew on at the fire station, to keep police on patrol, to educate the children throughout the entire community, and to improve and operate the streets and sewers.
In local businesses, the purpose in setting up shop in the Valley is to find ways to support friends and neighbors — but not having to sit through an hour-long commute is an added bonus. In this issue of the annual Spotlight on Business, the lights is shone on some of the ways businesses are working to grow into an increasingly vital part of the Valley.
