At the Convention Center Doug Orr, our resident sand artist, will be building a sandcastle at the convention center and providing free daily sand building workshops and a “quick sculpt contest” for the entire family so you can head to the beach and build your own creations. Doug will be joined by sand artist Eric Hawley, who will be building a second sand castle at the convention center and will be working with Doug on the workshops and contests.

On the Beach Justin The Circler will give guided instruction on the beach teaching the ancient of sacred geometry – sand mandalas. Lessons, tools, and plenty of sand await you for an experience you will not soon forget. Make mandalas and symmetric designs or just freestyle your name in the firm Ocean Shore sand. FREE lessons will start at 2pm Friday-Sunday, but the fun will not stop until the tide comes in. Look for a gold pickup truck with black and white wind-spinners on the beach, just south of the Shilo Hotel entrance.

Chainsaw Art Auction Friday 4pm Saturday 4pm Sunday 2pm We have greatly expanded our Chainsaw Art Show and Auction, with 29 amazing carvers creating nearly 100 chainsaw sculptures that are auctioned every day. Watch the artists at work, then purchase your favorite creations. We have international, pro, and semi-pro artists coming from all over the world – Argentina, Minnesota, California, Texas, Illinois, Vermont and the Northwest — all to celebrate this amazing art form. Friday and Saturday the program includes the audience favorite “quick carve.” The live auctions are Friday and Saturday at 4pm and Sunday at 2pm. On Sunday, the carvers will present their main piece that they have worked on all weekend,

The Associated Arts of Ocean Shores (AAOS) presents members and their work and offer live demonstrations of their creative process. The AAOS artists will exhibit and sell two- and threedimensional work created locally, with an emphasis on motifs and materials found along the coast. Associated Arts of Ocean Shores (AAOS) has been advocating for and promoting artists in the community since 1974.
