Welcome to Wildcat Athletics

T

he Oak Harbor Wildcat Booster Club has been supporting student athletes and the athletic programs at Oak Harbor High school for many years. The generosities of the volunteers, board members who have, and still, serve on the board, and parents who have spent countless hours making it all work are greatly appreciated. The Booster Club provides funding each year that supplements the funds the teams receive from the Oak Harbor High School Associated Student Body funds to purchase equipment and uniforms. The club has purchased many large items for the athletic department, such as score boards, a curtain for the field house, equipment for the weight room, reader board in front of the school, wrestling mat, and the track & field timing system. Funds are provided to coaches for professional development. The Booster Club provides $6,000 annually for students in need of scholarships to cover their sport fees. To top it all off, they give two annual scholarships totaling $2,000 to deserving seniors when they graduate. The services the Oak Harbor Wildcat Boosters provides our student athletes are integral in providing opportunities for students to participate in interscholastic activities.

If you or anyone in the community would like to help support student athletic programs at Oak Harbor High School, you can do so through the Oak Harbor Wildcat Boosters in many ways. One way would be to volunteer to work in the concession stand at OHHS athletic events. This is a fun way to work with fellow supporters, see people from the community and interact with our students all while raising funds for our programs. If you cannot work at events but would like to help with stocking supplies and prepping the concession stand for events on a flexible schedule, we can put you in touch with a board member who would show you the ropes. Another way the Booster Club can use some assistance is for new members to serve on the board. Board members serve a variety of roles, and it would be helpful to divide up the duties so they are easier to manage. If you would still like to help but are not able to participate in the areas mentioned above, memberships can be purchased to support student athletes through the link on the high school web page (http://www.ohsd.net/domain/668). Regular memberships are $25 and Gold Memberships are $100 annually.
