ONGOING EVENTS Kirkland Wednesday Market June 1–September 28 • 2 to 7 p.m. Marina Park • This vibrant weekly market brings local farmers and artisans to Marina Park on Lake Washington. The Market features an array of ready-to-eat food, produce, flowers, berries, fruit, jewelry, fish, meats, cheeses, honey and handmade goods. ____________________________________ Juanita Friday Market June 3–September 30 • 3 to 7 p.m. Juanita Beach Park Located at the spacious Juanita Beach Park, the Juanita Friday Market offers delicious locally grown fruits, fresh produce, beautiful flowers and handmade crafts. The Kirkland Mother’s Day Half Marathon & 5K is a Kirkland Mother’s Day tradition. Runners and walkers of all skill levels participate in this scenic and supportive running and walking event. Both the half marathon and the 5K courses incorporate a rewarding route that includes picturesque views along the shores of Lake Washington and Cross Kirkland Corridor. ____________________________________


Kirkland Artist Studio Tours May 7–8 • 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Local Galleries and Studios Held every Mother’s Day weekend, the self-guided Kirkland Artist Studio Tour (KAST) features a variety of art mediums including jewelry, glass art, paintings, ceramics, photography, metalwork, pottery and printmaking. Seattle International Film Festival June 2–9 • Times Vary Kirkland Performance Center Recognized as one of the top film festivals in North America, the 41st Seattle International Film Festival brings the world’s greatest films to the Kirkland Performance Center. ____________________________________ Bluefish Festival June 3 • Juanita Park Join the Kirkland Youth Council and Kirkland Teen Union Building (KTUB) for the 14th Annual Bluefish Festival—a showcase of music and art for local teens. Kirkland Uncorked July 15–17 • Marina Park Enjoy this regional showcase of art, food and wine on the picturesque shores of Lake Washington. The festival features wines from world-class Washington wineries, bite-sized feasts from notable Eastside restaurants, and appearances from the Northwest’s most prestigious celebrity chefs and culinary personalities.


Celebrate Kirkland 4th of July Parade, Picnic and Fireworks July 4 • Marina Park Join in the fun at Kirkland’s annual Fourth of July celebration featuring a “decorate to celebrate” event for kids at Marina Park Pavilion, followed by a parade, live music and a picnic. The evening finishes off with a fantastic fireworks display over Marina Park with viewing from Kirkland’s many waterfront parks. ____________________________________ Tango Magic Festival July 10 • Marina Park Five beautiful days and summer nights of Tango culminate in Kirkland at the gorgeous waterfront pavilion in Marina Park with dancing and a Sunset Salmon Bake.

Kirkland Events Guide 2016 FroYo Run July 23 • Juanita Beach Park Run, walk and swirl with a frozen finish unlike any race! A scenic bay course takes a sweet twist into a friendly neighborhood. Wide streets allow you to choose a scenic path without bumping into too many people along the way. ____________________________________ Kirkland Classic Car Show July 30–31 • Downtown Kirkland The 12th Annual Kirkland Classic Car show, presented by Kirkland Downtown Association is one of the largest car show events on the Eastside. More than 600 hot rods and classic cars will be parked along Marina Park and downtown Kirkland. Free.


Junior Softball World Series July 31–August 6 • Everest Park Held annually in Kirkland—teams from around the world will compete this August in the weeklong Junior League Softball World Series Championship. Opening Day begins Sunday, July 31. Championship playoffs will be held Saturday, Aug. 6, broadcast by ESPN.
