Pierce County News Council schedules more meetings to be held around Pierce County Pierce County Council will hold upcoming meetings in Eatonville, Buckley, and Tacoma as part of its effort to make government more accessible to more people. Pierce County Council, which normally meets Tuesdays in the County-City Building in downtown Tacoma, holds at least one meeting per year in each of the seven council districts, as required by the Pierce County Charter. The seven-member body approved the following dates, times, and locations during their meeting on Tues., Sept. 8: — Tues., Sept. 29 at 6:30 p.m. at the Eatonville Community Center, located at 305 Center Street West, in Eatonville. This meeting will be hosted by District 3 Councilmember Jim McCune. — Mon., Oct. 5 at 5 p.m. at the Tacoma Campus of The Evergreen State College, located at 1210 6th Ave., in Tacoma. This meeting will be hosted by District 4 Councilmember Connie Ladenburg. — Tues. Oct. 20 at 5 p.m. in the Buckley Multi-Purpose Center, located at 811 Main St., in Buckley. This meeting will be hosted by District 1 Councilmember Dan Roach. Meetings for the remaining council districts will be announced as dates are confirmed.
