Welcome to this year’s Best of South Kitsap readers’ choice awards. Every year we look forward to this publication and this year is no exception. The Best of South Kitsap is a reflection of businesses and people in the community that have made a positive impact on residents in the area who have taken the time to vote on various categories and to showcase the Best of South Kitsap. From the best burgers and mexican food to massage therapists and local artists, there are more than 50 categories showcasing the area’s best as voted on by readers of the Port Orchard Independent in this year’s contest. This year, as in years past, we have some new winners and finalists as well as perennial favorites such as New2You, Nostalgia House Bakery and MoonDogs Too to name a few.
Whatever your personal favorites in South Kitsap are, you’ll find more than 150 businesses, people and places featured in this year’s Best of South Kitsap special edition, which really does say a lot about our wonderful community. Congratulations to this year’s winners and finalists in the Best of South Kitsap awards. Now it’s time to get your pens and pencils out and start making a list of places to try that you may not have in the past. Personally, I’m looking forward to expanding my list of favorite foods in South Kitsap. And remember, always shop locally first. Your dollar goes a lot farther than you might think when it stays in the local economy.
Enjoy! Donna Etchey Regional Advertising Director
