A 28-year-old man was killed and four Kent Police officers were injured in a Sunday afternoon shootout and explosion. Richard Duncalf, a King County resident, reportedly aimed a gun

and opened fire at officers after he was found in a business area of Kent, police said. Duncalf died from multiple gunshot wounds, according to the King County Medical Examiner’s Office. Police returned fire and killed Duncalf at the scene. During

A 44-year-old Kent woman was among three people arrested on Wednesday on charges of providing material support to al-Shabaab, a designated foreign terrorist organization that is conducting a

violent insurgency campaign in Somalia. FBI agents arrested Hinda Osman Dhirane at her Kent home, according to a U.S. Department of Justice media release. She was scheduled to make her initial court appearance [ more ARREST page 4 ]
