Welcome to the Best of Bainbridge Island: The Review’s celebration of what locals love most about our Island

icking the best is no easy feat, but readers should remember, picking a “best” here is like looking for the most remarkable gem in a string of diamonds.

This year, more than 500 voters participated in the Review’s “Best of Bainbridge” survey. While some of the results may surprise, many likely won’t: Islanders are well aware of the wonderful quality of life that residents enjoy on Bainbridge, and its excellent selection of services and shopping, fine dining, community events and picture-postcard-perfect gathering spots. We asked, and you told us, your choices on what makes Bainbridge great, from best barista to best gift shop, best dentist to best dessert, best place to meet a date and best spot to have a picnic. Bainbridge Island has drawn praise from afar as one of the best places to live, and the Bainbridge Island Review would like to thank everyone who participated in this year’s survey. Although there’s only one first-place award in each category, all the nominees are true winners for helping to create and maintain our exceptional quality of life.
