Plans for Next Year: My fifth year plan is to attend the Seattle Diver’s Institute of Technology at which time I will be training for a multitude of different certifications that will allow me to work on an off shore oil rig. At least that’s the plan. Goals aren’t always supposed to be met; they’re just something to aim for. Dreams for the Future: My dreams for the future involve a nice return trip back to the island once I’ve successfully worked myself out of commission to a life of peace and prosperity. Most Memorable Moments: One memory that has really stuck with me has been the trips I’ve gone on with Sam and John Mcmain every spring break over the past 3 years. Each year we would fill their car with bikes and head down to Moab, Utah where we would spend about 5 days riding and enjoying the scenery.

Dreams for the Future: I hope to graduate with a degree in computer science and am planning to go directly into the game industry. I don’t know where I would live, but my dream state is Hawaii. Most Memorable Moments: The most memorable moments of my senior career are my junior year of track and my programming internship this year. In junior year track I got to run around with some really fun people and went farther than I expected in my events. My programming internship was the most rewarding activity I did during high school and the rewards to making a successful program were indescribable.

Most Memorable Moments: My most memorable moment came when I was a freshman in Mr. McNairy’s class. We had to do a project on “Evil Dictators” and I did Kim Il-Sung. I could remember having everything ready to go, and on presentation day it disappeared from my pen drive. I could remember thinking it wasn’t that big of a deal, I would just take the F and move forward, not thinking clearly that it was high school and there were also finals. Dreams for the Future: The year after next, I plan on applying for a gap year program with Projects Abroad and going to Thailand to do Marine Conservation on the coast for at least three months, maybe more. When I return to the island, I will apply for college here on the West Coast and major in marine biology or oceanography. Most Memorable Moments: My most memorable moments were all of the times that I traveled with the school. I loved my home stays in Peru, Guatemala and Spain. I will do this anywhere between one and three years, after which I plan to go to business school. Dreams for the Future: My dream is to have a farm where I grow my own wheat and grind my own flower and make my own pasta, have cows to milk so I can make my own cheese, vineyards so I can make my own wine, and have whatever other crops or animals I want to make my own products. On this farm I would have a restaurant/shop where all of my products would be sold, my principle product being all kinds of pasta. That’s my dream. Most Memorable Moments: Bumbershoot '09, especially Monday; so many soccer moments, but most of all our victory against Orcas in Everett in '08, then witnessing the '08 election at the community center that night; Mexico; eating pasta for the first time; adventures of Feb. break '10; winter arts night '10 (my first band performance); finding the peak; my dinners for Italy at The Bay; seeing Venice for the first time; nights in Salerno; Explosions in The Sky; Montreal; outdoor excursions in the Lopez summer sun; and many more.

Plans for Next Year: I will be attending Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts next year. I hope to concentrate on Math and Science and earn a teaching degree. Dreams for the Future: I hope to teach and live somewhere far away, fall in love, and get married before returning to Lopez Island. I want to teach at Lopez High School and raise my children in this little patch of paradise while transforming my family farm into a selfsustaining retreat/event center. I just hope everything works out eventually. Most Memorable Moments: Seeing my newly adopted sister for the first time, inside jokes, crowded saunas, late night hot tubs, silent early morning sunrises, stepping into the New Delhi airport, being accepted for who I was and wasn’t, my year in India – all of it, watching the grass grow, my Alaskan adventures, being atop the Eiffel Tower, the ‘he loves me/loves me not’ that actually came true, serendipitous events that made me smile, and so many more…

Plans for Next Year: My plans for next year include attending Central Washington University. I am hoping to try-out for the Central Washington Women’s Basketball Team and if not making it, then will be playing intramural or club sports. My course of study will be Exercise Science/Sports Management such as working in the coaching, athletic department, and/or athletic training field. Dreams for the Future: My dreams for the future consist of having athletics always be a part of my life. I want to get a great education that will support my future family in this economy. I want to help others be determined to reach their athletic/health goals and hopefully meet some great people and life-long friendships. Most Memorable Moments: I believe memorable moments always happen when least expected. One of them that I recall perfectly would be going to the Spokane Arena for State in basketball for the first time since 1982, in 2010/11 season. I remember that day clearly as if it were yesterday and will never forget it. There are too many memorable moments to list but I’m proud to say they happen all the time with all the important people in my life.
Plans for Next Year: I will be attending Central Washington University in the fall. I am going to study early childhood and special education. Also I will plan either be on the CWU volleyball team or part of the Ellensburg rodeo. Dreams for the Future: My dreams for the future are to one day live on large ranch and be a special ed teacher in a small town somewhere, with a happy family and live a life my parents will be proud of. Besides that I also have the dream to live somewhere in the south with Kaylee Kramer for around half a year. Most Memorable Moments: Participating in all ten state tournaments, I was lucky enough to make it to. Kicking Tahola’s bootie at regionals and the look on my basketball teams face when we made it to state for the first time in 29 years. My roommates at state bball 2012(Bree, Eryn, Hannah) Being League MVP my senior year in volleyball. Ice blocking with Risto, Andrew & Sarah in the late night. Camping in the summer with Alexa, Sarah and my wonderful family. Bonfires with my big brother and bestie Kaylee, and screaming “Kaylee I love you,” at the top of my lungs every time.
