A Message from the Mayor Welcome to Auburn, one of the older cities in the region with a big heart and innovative culture. We are the City of Parades, from our Children's 4th of July Parade to the largest Veteran's Day Parade west of the Mississippi.

Our Good Ol' Days Parade has gone on for more than a century and our Santa Parade fills the streets with children and the air with song as we celebrate and light the city tree.

Welcome to the cultural center for arts and entertainment across two counties. We are home to the largest performing arts center in the area, with the state's largest horse track at Emerald Downs on one end of town and the White River Amphitheater on the other. We have a thriving live theater in the heart of downtown. Pacific Raceways is not far away, and the SuperMall of the Great Northwest is close

District Motto: Engage, Educate, Empower Welcome to the Auburn School District! The district is centrally located between Seattle and Tacoma, at the center of the Green River Valley of South King County.

The district encompasses approximately 60 square miles and serves a population of 70,000 residents.

More than 14,600 students attend Auburn’s 22 schools.

The district strives for academic excellence. A broad range of programs provide students oppor-tunities to excel. The district motto, “Engage, Educate, Empower” represents the commitment to student success.

Our students are amazing citizens. Our schools provide the local food bank and blood bank with generous

donations to support the needs of the community.
