Note the 45-64 age group, when combined is 42.8% of the current workforce. Speaking of age, The International Council of Nurses (ICN) has announced that the World Health Organisation (WHO) has designated 2020 as The Year of the Nurse and Midwife, as it will be the 200th anniversary of Florence Nightingales birth! Their theme is to celebrate the benefits that nursing and midwifery bring to the health of the global population. ICN are planning and coordinating a wide range of activities throughout the year as is our HHS. 31st December 2019 NMBA announced a new model of Assessment of internationally qualified nurses and midwives which will commence in March 2020
