JULIE MARTELL
ROLE: Donna NEPTUNE: Controlled Damage, Dear Rita, Billy Elliot, Mamma Mia, Beauty and the Beas OTHER: Twenty-five years ago, I was cast as Sophie in the Mirvish production of Mamma Mia! Since then, my journey has taken me to Broadway, Off-Broadway, across stages nationwide, and through nine incredible seasons at the Shaw Festival. One of my most transformative roles, however, has been navigating my own cancer journey. To be back on stage—singing these iconic songs, in this beloved theatre, with this extraordinary company—after not knowing if it would be possible again, is profoundly humbling. So much has happened in my ABBA evolution—from Daughter to Mother! Thank you for supporting live theatre. @julesmartell
