ABOUT THE APP HPUtopia is a mobile app gaming system where you can virtually build your own High Point University campus from your fingertips! This app is designed for students, faculty, prospective students, and even alumni that want to create their own campus while learning about the history of High Point and how it has grown to what it is today.

APP OBJECTIVE The objective of the game is to make as many connections as possible to increase your possession of buildings. The more buildings you acquire, the more rewards you will receive such as students and money. Your ranking in the game is determined by the different levels.

BRAND Creating and developing our brand was a challenge that required us to take the existing design of the HPU brand and translate that into something that fit the tone of our game. Taking a University brand and essentially matching that with a more juvenile, playful yet also versatile typeface that could be used for a mobile interface. Our icons are a key element of this app interface to serve the purpose of a wayfinding system for users to differentiate their standings and rankings within the game.

SKETCHES Our sketches hold the framework for our design, including scratch notes, brainstorming, task delegating and illustrations.

Our sketches serve as the visual representation of our process throughout this app design.

WIREFRAMES

Our wireframes act as a framework to our app interface in regards to organization and content. While our final renderings do not directly reflect all of the original wireframes, they were nevertheless inspired by these early thoughts and ideas.
