Polk County Partnership

To truly have the most transformational impact within central Iowa, Prairie Meadows sees our partnership with Polk County as vital to extending our charitable giving power to the ones who need it most.

In 2021, we provided more than $38.1 million to improve the lives of central Iowans. We’re funding innovative health care programs, restoring historical venues, and infusing life into city playscapes. Our one-of-a-kind relationship with Polk County, allows us to truly see the work that needs to be done to make our communities successful in every facet of living, working, and operating.

Over the years, our funding has given life to the 6th Ave Corridor Streetscape, the Raccoon River Pedestrian Bridge, and countless other initiatives throughout the community. Our work, in conjunction with that of many other public-private partnerships, is building a vibrant, dynamic Polk County. Collectively, we are proud to stand with these organizations as we all work to make our communities areas of excellence. To work within central Iowa communities is an honor – and one we could not do alone.
