PLYMOUTH EDTV PRESENTS Plymouth EDTV is excited to host the 3rd Annual Student Film Festival on April 29, 2022 at Plymouth North High School. The Film Festival provides an opportunity for students in grades 6-12 to share their creative story telling skills through the video production and photography. Each year students can create a film in one of three categories showcases their creative spin on the theme.
2022 THEME: COMMUNITY As the world around us continues to change, many of us have, at one time or another, experienced feelings of isolation and loneliness. As more and more aspects of our lives seemingly push us apart, it has become increasingly important to embrace what brings us together – the shared ideas, common goals, and relatable experiences that enhance our own perspectives, and provide us with an essential part of our everyday lives: Community. Community is more than just your hometown or your neighborhood; it’s a part of your identity. It can be somewhere, someone, or something that makes you feel empowered, inspired, included.

Whether it’s a PSA, News Story, or Documentary, show us your storytelling skills through one of these outlets. Create a 2-4 minute story focused on a nonfiction theme, based in reality.
NARRATIVE No matter what format you choose: comedy, drama, or animation – we welcome all forms of narrative. Develop your characters and conflicts in this 2-4 minute story. Remember, not all conflicts are physical.
PHOTO The image can be a standard photograph taken using a camera of your choice, or a digital composition using image editing software, so long as the composition is made up of original, non-copyrighted content.
