COACH PJ A WORD FROM

Hello and welcome to this weekend’s games against the second and first place teams in the BBL Championship respectively.

Tonight, we play the second placed Bristol flyers who are having a tremendous season and looking very strong for a top four finish.
Sunday, we play the number one team in the league and BBL cup winners in the London Lions. This London team is the strongest that has ever been assembled in the BBL. They are packed with good talent in every position in the game and play a good style of basketball.
It’s great to be back playing at home after being away for practically the whole of January. We need all the help we can get now with changes to the roster lately.
Ty, Jawaun, and Jules have all come in at a tough time of the season and it will take time for the team to rediscover our identity and the way we want to play and how we must play to get back to winning ways. Hopefully not before long they will have the impact on the team I’m looking.
It’s always tough to integrate players part way through a season and it’s for the players that have been here throughout to stand up, be counted and show the way whilst the new players settle in.
The games will start to come thick and fast, and we need to rediscover our winning mentality quickly. I think it’s going to be an amazing second half to the season with every game bigger than the last. Hopefully you will give the team that extra push we need to get back to where we want to be.
Tonight, we play Bristol, which is always a very keenly fought game, before we play league leaders London Lions on Sunday. We must be ready to do battle with both teams and show the grit, toughness, and determination we are going to need to win games from now until the end of the season!!!
A warm welcome to the coaching staff, players, and support teams from Bristol and London for these BBL championship games.
