Dear Friends,
As summer rolls back into Door County, I’m struck—once again—by just how magical this season feels. There’s something about the golden light and lake breezes that brings new energy to the art we showcase and the people who walk through our doors.
I’m excited to share this catalog with you—a handpicked look at some of the incredible work launching our 2025 season. With over 150 nationally collected artists now represented at Plum Bottom, this is just a glimpse into what’s new and inspiring across our four locations. Whether it’s a vibrant painting, a piece of sculptural jewelry, or hand blown glass you just can’t stop running your fingers over—there’s something here meant to speak to you.
You can always see more online at PlumBottomGallery.com or visit us in person. However you find us, I hope you’ll feel the same sense of connection, beauty, and joy that’s at the heart of everything we do.
Thanks for being part of our story.

Kellie Hanson is a mosaic artist with over 20 years of experience and considers herself self taught. Born and raised in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, she often takes inspiration from the nature that surrounds her. Featuring Sue Pruss
Trained and inspired by local Door County glass artists, Sue’s passion was hidden for 60 years. It wasn’t until retirement when she dabbled a bit in different art mediums that she found her true passion, transforming glass into art. Sue loves creating colorful kiln-formed landscapes with an emphasis on flowers and trees. She carefully hand cuts each petal or tree branch while organically creating her next art piece. Once her basic design is complete, the piece may undergo multiple kiln firings until the desired effect is created. Her passion for nature shows through in her one-of-a-kind creations.

“The Awakening Light collection began in quiet yet powerful early morning moments, as I witness the sunrise from my bedroom window and continued to include sunrises and sunsets from my travels. Each offering a unique composition—a delicate dance between color and shadow, warmth and coolness, light and dark. I am captivated by the way these moments never repeat, yet always feel familiar. Through these works, I invite the viewer to pause and appreciate the quiet wonder of the everyday.” - Cindy Lesperance

Often mistaken for oils, Cheryl Mocadlo’s acrylic paintings are known for their visual aesthetic - life-like imagery and rich color palette. She enjoys celebrating nature’s beauty, hence her partiality to landscapes and organics. By layering pigments with varying degrees of opacity and a range of application techniques, Mocadlo achieves a depth of color that creates interest and movement. For her, the most exciting part of painting is the moment when the canvas comes to life - no longer a two-dimensional image, but a destination to walk into or an object to reach out and hold her hand.
