The Supershelf is a new interpretation of a competition entry submitted to reimagine Philadelphia's Athenaeum in the future. It takes and carries the key concepts of the competition precedent from the concept to the final design, all while redesigning the floor plans, facades, materials, and interiors. It is a full redesign, elevating the Athenaeum into a more timeless and special collections library.
This project was a 5th year, one-term project running from September to December 2021. The project was developed with Ashaykeen Abedin and Alyssa Lopez under the supervision and guidance of Professor Bunny Tucker, AIA.
