WELCOME

MESSAGE

FROM THE MAYOR

As the warmth of spring and summer approaches, I am thrilled to present the 2025 Spring/Summer Parks and Recreation Playbook. Our city's parks and recreational programs are designed to promote health and wellness, foster community pride, and protect our environmental resources, enhancing the quality of life for all who call Pensacola home.

You may find a few “Pardon our Dust” signs in and around our facilities this year. We’ve embarked on “Direction ’25: Pensacola Parks Revitalization.” This $21.7 million project will touch at least 54 of our parks and facilities across all seven districts. We know our parks are the heartbeat of our neighborhoods and our city.

This season, we are excited to offer a variety of programs tailored to engage and inspire participants of all ages. Think our programs are just for the kids? While we take great pride in our after school and summer camp programs, your Parks and Recreation Department has programming for ALL ages. We also give residents the opportunity to volunteer their time in various ways.

Our dedicated Parks and Recreation Department manages 93 parks and open spaces, and 10 resource centers, ensuring that there is always a place to explore, play, and connect with nature.

I encourage you to take full advantage of the diverse programs and beautiful parks highlighted in this Playbook. Whether you're seeking adventure, relaxation, or community engagement, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

Wishing you a vibrant and active spring and summer season. We hope you take some time to get out and play!
