Selwyn Ridge School Tauranga
Selwyn Ridge Primary School’s new outdoor space celebrates the cultural narrative of the school, with local purakau built into the design, following a coastal theme symbolic of the school’s proximity to the ocean.

Playspace Design+Build
Pegasus Bay School wanted to keep the existing natural look of the space while incorporating a coast theme. Creo utilized the surrounding trees and tussocks, using them as a feature to improve flow and adapt the overall layout of the space with pockets of play.

The autumnal concept for the playground came from the main structure piece which was selected by the council; the Acorn Climbing Village. This provided Creo with the theme of acorns, autumn leaves, and meandering streams – all of which are features of the surrounding environment.

Ilam School previously had a 1970’s playground with a traditional jungle gym and bark surfacing making the space look dated. The new space is fun and colourful, featuring both new and upcycled equipment from the previous playground. The addition of bright new elements and a unique surface design ties the place together, celebrating the schools vibrant culture.

The brief for Beststart Naenae was to create a outdoor space that was inviting and practical. A space that would extend the children’s physical development and put the focus on flexible play. The space also includes two bike tracks, a sensory path, areas for ball games, a water feature, and a sandpit; all adding variety and versatility during playtime.

Karori Park Wellington
The playground at Karori Park was worn down, tired, and small, but it was still a focal community playground that was vibrant and well loved. It was in need of some fresh thinking and an update to create a more inclusive, and accessible play area. The playground now boasts a vibrant community feel, with new equipment, surrounding seating area, and a colour palette that plays off the brick walls and the Wellington yellows.

Creo playspace consultants work with you to explore your goals for your playspace and help you determine whether Creo is a good fit for your project. Your consultant will assess your site and help you establish a wish list and budget.
Creo landscape architects develop concepts based on your wish list, budget, and site context. Concepts are delivered with a video walkthrough presented by your landscape architect and an investment guide which outlines the cost to build your playspace.
Your Creo consultant and landscape architect will develop a detailed proposal which includes the project scope with lead times and pricing. Once the proposal is approved, your playspace project is locked into our schedule and work can begin on planning out the build.
The Creo site team arrives on site with everything needed to build your new playspace to the design you’ve approved. Your Creo project manager and site manager will work together to ensure you are kept informed of progress while the playspace build is completed.
