What is Tarmac Restorer?

Our Tarmac Restorer is a high-quality, water-based formula that reinstates the deep, black colour of tarmac. The environmentally friendly product is coated onto the surface, reintroducing the original polymers. Its long-term protection against UV light and water helps to prolong the black colour and prevent the surface from cracking in future. As well as this, the Tarmac Restorer creates a barrier against pesky weed growth and spills such as oil, petrol, diesel, and other chemicals.

Key Advantages Water-based, environmentally friendly product Hides previous tarmac repairs / extended areas Gives a uniform-coloured surface Durable and long-lasting Can be recoated at any time Easy to keep clean and maintain Reduces ‘stone loss’ from the existing tarmac Waterproofs and protects Tarmac/Asphalt surfaces Protects against oil, grease, and dirt stains Resistant to algae and weed growth How much does it cost? The Tarmac Restorer costs between £5 - £6.50m2 with a minimum job size of 200m2. As part of our service, if required we can clean the surface area before the Tarmac Restorer is applied. How is it applied?

Tarmac Restorer can be applied to playgrounds and surfaces during temperate and dry weather conditions. Installations are completed during term time only and we politely request clear access to the playground.

The Tarmac Restorer is either sprayed onto the surface or coated on using roller brushes, with a minimum of 2-3 layers to ensure effective coverage.

How to prepare your surface Your playground will need to be clear of any loose stones, mud, moss, weeds, and any other debris. All edges will need to be clearly defined. Alternatively, we will use tape along the edges to allow for a neat finish.

When can it be applied?

Installing new markings on top the Tarmac Restorer is dry, our vibrant thermoplastic playground markings can be installed on top, and with an extra dark surface the colourful designs will pop more than can expect your playground to look like afterwards – just like new!

The finished look

What’s more, the Tarmac Restorer doesn’t retexture the surface so the original ‘feel’ of the surface will be maintained and protected from any future damage.
