Removals
If you have old markings that you’d like removed, take advantage of our Playground Marking Removals service. There are different methods we can use, and our knowledgeable team will be able to advise you on which is most suitable to use on your playground.
Vapour blasting
Our most effective method for removing playground markings is vapour blasting. A specially formulated abrasive media is mixed with a small amount of water, pressurised in a pressure pot, and blasted through a nozzle mixed with compressed air.
This process ensures minimal airborne dust as each piece of media, approx. 1mm wide, is encapsulated by the water. Whilst this is not the fastest or cheapest method of removing markings, it does so with minimal damage to the surface, best preparing the ground for new markings.
Our state-of-the-art removals machine allows us to deliver a high-quality service. Being very mobile, it’s easy to get into most areas. Plus, its vapour blasting nozzle is extremely precise at only 2-3cm wide, which means damage caused to the surrounding surface can be completely avoided.
Whilst you will be able to faintly see where the old markings were, this technique leaves a lot less scarring than alternative methods such as hydro blasting and sand jetting.
Our removals are often completed at a weekend in order to minimise disruption at the playground. What’s more, as part of the clean-up operation, we will either use a road sweeper or jet wash to make sure the playground is left in a tidy condition, at no extra cost.
Tarmac Restorer
When your old tarmac is looking tired, but budget doesn’t allow for resurfacing, we have the perfect solution to deliver the same new look. Our high-performance Tarmac Restorer can be applied to your playground, completely refreshing the appearance, reinstating the deep, black colour.
The restorer is coated onto the surface with roller brushes and once dry, our thermoplastic markings can be installed over the top. Together with our bright designs, our Tarmac Restorer recreates the feeling of a brand new playground. What’s more, it provides long term protection against common spills and weed growth, meaning further tarmac repair needs are reduced.
