Note from the Director

I remember playing Sharks and Minnows in the pool as a kid and have many fond memories. Playing in the water as a kid eventually led me to pursue a career in parks and recreation!

As the days get longer and the temperatures begin to rise, people in Frisco will naturally be drawn to activities in and around the water. Any body of water, whether it’s a bathtub or a large lake, can pose a safety risk to people who cannot swim. In the U.S., drowning is a leading cause of death for children under age 14 according to the American Academy of Pediatrics.

We know parents want their kids to have fun in the water and stay safe. That’s why we make it easy for families to play safely by offering both group and private swim lessons for kids of all ages, including as young as six months old. In addition to learning a lifesaving skill, swimming is a low impact, lifelong sport that builds endurance and helps with balance and posture.

We invite you to have fun and #PlaySafely with us this summer. We can’t wait to see all the swimmingly-good times you’ll have!
