DISTRICT 2

NEWSLETTER Welcome Janury

Greetings, District 2 Family! As we begin a new year, January offers us a fresh start — a time to reflect on where we’ve been and to look ahead with purpose and hope. I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve District 2 and for the continued engagement and trust you place in me as we move into 2026 together. The new year brings momentum. Across District 2, we will continue focusing on infrastructure improvements, reliable city services, and programs that strengthen our neighborhoods and support families. From solid waste operations to street and utility projects, our goal remains clear: deliver practical solutions that improve everyday life and respond to resident needs. January is also a time to stay connected. Whether it’s attending a City Council meeting, participating in community surveys, or reaching out with questions or concerns, your involvement makes a difference. Your feedback helps guide priorities and ensures we continue making thoughtful, community-driven decisions. As our city continues to grow, we remain committed to supporting our first responders, city staff, and community partners who work every day to keep Temple safe, moving, and (254) 654-9392

thriving. I look forward to building on the progress we’ve made and working alongside you to make 2026 a year of continued opportunity, collaboration, and care for one another. Thank you for being an engaged and resilient District 2 community. I wish you and your family a healthy, safe, and successful New Year. With warm wishes, Zoe Grant, City Council Member, District 2

REFLECTION AND GOALS DISTRICT 2 Councilmember

Dr. Zoe Grant

As I reflect on 2025, I’m proud of the meaningful progress we made across District 2 and our city as a whole. From infrastructure improvements to solid waste service enhancements and expanded community programs, this year was focused on delivering real, practical results that improve daily life for our residents. We advanced long-needed projects, addressed service challenges, and supported programs that strengthen neighborhoods, families, and local businesses. I am especially grateful for the trust residents continue to place in me and for the community feedback that continues to guide our work. Your voices have played a critical role in shaping improvements to essential services such as solid waste collection, neighborhood maintenance, and access to community resources. As we move into 2026 and our city continues to grow, we remain committed to supporting our first responders and the essential services that bring aid and stability to residents in need. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to learn how our city operates, to better understand the work of our many departments, and to build relationships with the dedicated staff who carry out a wide range of responsibilities every day. My focus remains on practical solutions — strengthening core infrastructure, investing wisely in city services, and ensuring community programs are responsive, accessible, and effective. I look forward to continuing this work alongside residents, city staff, and community partners as we build a city that serves everyone well.
