he brainchild of expert sailors strarchitect Renzo Piano and Olav Selvaag with interiors and deck
design by Nauta Design, the new Zattera 24m building at Castagnola Yacht is more about enjoying life in harmony with the environment than yachting as we know it. Zattera means raft in Italian and this a spare craft does indeed have a raft-like freeboard and broad beam as well as ultrapure clean lines. A transparent superstructure completely immerses guests in light, bright, free nature. Siemens Energy’s hybrid propulsion system and meticulous hull design slash emissions and Zattera even has a silent allelectric mode thanks to lithium ion batteries. Solar panels will yield significant autonomy and range, while the hull deck and superstructure are all sustainable wood. The master and two guest cabins lie forward with the galley, crew area and engine room aft. Natural light floods in from a large skylight in the saloon on the lower deck where
