Maria | E-Commerce Specialist What is something you really enjoy about your job? I have plenty of opportunities to develop my career in this company, where we have grown from a 3-business unit into 9-business unit. The journey has taught me a lot – from how to establish a luxury boutique to providing development opportunities for local people.

What motivates you? I’m always learning and always growing. I love to approach new challenges with an open mind and figure out how to get the best out of every situation.

What makes Plataran Indonesia different to other hospitality groups? In my opinion, the best thing about Plataran is the way it involves and benefits local people; wherever there is a new business unit, opportunities and advantages will follow.

Ari Asfaro | Leisure Specialist What is your experience of Sales and Marketing in Plataran Indonesia? I’ve been here for more than four years so far; it’s such a privilege to grow and learn with all the members of the team. Each day, we learn something new, because every day we face new challenges together and discover new solutions.

What drives you forward as a team? A word we often use here is “legacy.” Plataran is always doing things that have never been done before and making positive changes to the world around us. We all want to be a part of that, because we believe that’s the best legacy to leave behind.

Arman | MICE Specialist What’s it like, working in Sales and Marketing for Plataran Indonesia? I feel very lucky to have the opportunity of working in this team. It’s an extraordinary group, and a dream job for me. We all support each other and strive forward as one to meet our targets.

What motivates you? Sales and marketing is all about moving forward. Always focus on the next challenge and never give up.

What is your hope for the future? My wish is that Plataran can become world-famous as a top-quality resort, so the people of Indonesia can be proud of their heritage.

Atik | Wedding Specialist What is something about your job that you really enjoy? “For me, the best part of the work I do is getting to know people from all over the world. Each client has their own unique character and all are looking for something truly special. It is my privilege to meet with so many fantastic characters and give them an experience they’ll remember for the rest of their lives.”

What motivates you? “When clients enjoy and appreciate the experience they’ve had with us, or enjoy an event that I’ve created, that really gives me a great feeling of satisfaction. It keeps me motivated and makes me always strive to exceed our clients’ expectations. Many guests stay in touch with me long after they’ve gone home, and this is a very rewarding part of my job. It’s easy to stay motivated when your job is making people happy!”
