Designed for speed and constructed for stability, the G3 is built on Danner’s lightest weight and most versatile TFX platform, the Danner® TFX-8. The Desert TFX G3 also features a durable, rough-out leather upper with lightweight 1000 Denier nylon. The Vibram® Striker® Torrent outsole is designed with a pentagonal pivot point lug pattern for grip in all directions. Style 24315 is NSN’d and is an official ADF-Issued Combat Boot.

Designed with PLATATAC to ADF specifications, the Rivot brings lightweight performance a durability together on Danner’s TFX platform. Design features include a rough-out leather and 1200 Denier nylon upper with space frame webbing for increased motion. The breathable GORE-TEX liner provides waterproof protection, and a 360° pivot point Vibram outsole lug pattern delivers responsive traction in any direction. The Rivot is NSN’d and is the ADF’s Cold Weather Issued Boot. The Prowess is Danner’s first tactical boot that was designed specifically for women. Featuring a durable leather and nylon upper and a breathable mesh lining, the Prowess is designed to keep you both comfortable and supported. The Prowess is the ADF’s issued Combat Boot for women. Danner worked with the United States Marine Corps to develop the Tropical Boot. Designed to withstand extreme environments, the Tropical Boot is made from a durable, nubuck leather upper with lightweight 1000 denier nylon. A Breathable, moisture-wicking mesh lining is ideal fr hot weather. A cushion Element PU footbed optimizes airflow and drainage while reducing water absorption. A Vibram Panama outsole with unique lug design is perfect for rough conditions.

The Blade-Tech Browning Mk3 Holster Ensemble is the issued Browning holster for the Australian Defence Force. It is a level 2 WRS (weapon retention system) holster which means it has its first level of retention being friction and it second level being an active system.

The active safety system is an attached singular safety lock which, when pressed inward toward the body, releases the bail used to retain the weapon. If the safety lock is not deactivated, the weapon cannot be drawn from the holster. The WRS retention release button is conveniently located on the thumb side of the firearm which allows for instant access to the weapon and a swift draw of the weapon. The holster is precision moulded to the shape of the weapon which helps retain a secure retention, as well allowing a speedy draw. The holster’s tension can be adjusted via two screws . Blade-Tech’s TMMS (Tactical Modular Mount System) offers a quick and tool-less method for mounting and removing your gear across multiple mounting platforms – belt, MOLLE vest, thigh rig, etc. Quickly transfer gear from belt, to vest, to leg, or anywhere else you can stick a TMMS Receiver Plate. The inner attachment is designed to be firmly locked and unlocked from the outer mechanisms. A builtin secondary lock can be employed to further achieve a more secure fit. This configuration allows the user to quickly and conveniently move the holster from their thigh to chest or belt and back. Velocity Systems was founded in 2007 to provide the highest performing armour solutions, in the shortest amount of time, to the United States Military Special Operations community and top Law Enforcement communities. The Velocity Systems owners have over 75 years of combined specialized armour manufacturing experience. Together they have moulded Velocity into a company with extensive knowledge of custom armour solutions and special projects for new and emerging threats.

As well as distributing world-class blades from iconic manufacturers like Gerber & CRKT, Platypus Outdoors also collaborates with end-users to design and manufacture tools specific to their requirements. We have manufactured Field Knives, folding knives tomahawks and pry bars, with more projects in the pipeline.

The PLATATAC SOCD Australian Special Operations Tool (ASOT) MkII is designed as a fast access personal defence tool, intended to bridge the gap between hand to knife and knife to primary weapons system. Designed by an Australian Tier-one operator, it is an evolution from our original ASOT. The ring of the ASOT enhances feel in the hand and the tool’s accessibility, making it exceptionally fast and easy to draw. Its primary advantage over conventional blades is the retention it offers, whilst allowing for a seamless transition to a handgun with no disconnect between the tool and gun. A low profile design allows the tool to be sandwiched between magazine or accessories pouches, this means no-one knows it’s there but the operator carrying it. In CQB, rapid access to the tool is critical to create space in a lethal clinch situation, the ASOT gives the operator best balance between speed of deployment whilst maintaining optimum concealment and retention.

Platypus Outdoors Group through our PLATATAC brand have been a long-time supporter of Australian Commandos. As part of that commitment we have forged a specifically shaped dagger, an AAS – Australian Army Stiletto. The AAS is available through the Australian Commando Association, 1st Commando Regiment, 2nd Commando Regiment and the Special Air Service Regiment. We have spent many years refining the design and manufacturing process of the dagger. We have now officially partnered with our specialist knife makers from Sheffield England, to finalise the project. They have mastered the British traditions of bespoke knife design. Our bladesmiths are also the current manufacturers for the Ministry of Defence – Sykes Fairbairn. Each AAS comes with a traditional WW2 leather sheath, and are individually numbered.
