At full capacity, Sohar Aluminium will supply more than 24,000 tonnes of aluminium per year which will be used to produce high-end aluminium alloy wheels for automobiles. With increasing international demand for alloy wheels, this project will further develop the manufacturing industry in the Sultanate of Oman.

Emaar Properties plans to open a 750,000 square metre mall area called Dubai Square. The mall is co-funded by investment company Dubai Holding, and will be part of a six square kilometre development project in the area. It will take five years to build. The mall will be built next to the new tower under construction at Dubai Creek Harbour that is set to be taller than Dubai’s Burj Khalifa. The mall will be 10 minutes from the Dubai International Airport, with a view to attracting transit visitors.

Iraq has set minimum investment of $60 million for its Sinbad Island tourism project. The project, located off the Southern port of Basra. As per Basra Investment Commission’s Chairman the estimated cost of the project is $60 million, and includes a shopping mall, hotels, chalets, a fun city, water sports facilities and a marina. The project, owned 15 percent by Basra’s Tourism Authority, would be completed within four years, the commission has not received any investment offers yet.

Every year between 8 and 12 million tons of waste sweep out to sea, especially plastic. Practically a full truck of garbage per minute. The rubbish in the sea, travels a long way and then washes up on coastlines. Over time it does not biodegrade harming wildlife and ecosystems. Ocean’s plastic pollution is one of the most felt environmental issue at present. But not only these types of litter piles in the coastal areas. Every year the sea and the rivers deposit driftwood and tidewrack along the shore, which have to be removed before summer to make room for the umbrellas, deck-chairs and bathers. For the holiday-makers safety and happiness. Proper Waste Management: Cleaning the Oliva Beach in Valencia. Oliva is a small town in the south of Valencia, Spain, and includes almost 9 km of beaches formed of fine sand. There was no need to get any foreign material, so the company did not have any additional purchase or transport costs. Not only that, but having already a screener on the spot made obsolete material transport to the recycling station. XCMG Climbs to Second in Global Crane Manufacturer Rankings
R
ecently, the “2018 List of Global Top 10 Crane Manufacturers” has been released. Three Chinese companies have been selected. XCMG, which has been taking the lead in the Chinese crane industry for many years, ranks second on the list and stays firmly among the world’s top crane manufacturers.
China, which tops those with the same tonnage in the market; XCA60_E is the only 3-bridge 60-ton all-terrain crane in China, which has been exported in large quantity to Hong Kong, Turkey and other places; and XCA550 is the first 7-axle 550-ton all-terrain crane all over the world.
Since 2017, China’s crane market has been developing more rapidly than before. Last year, the sales of China’s mobile cranes increased by 115.48% year on year, and the sales of cranes manufactured by XCMG increased by over 100%. In addition to the continuous growth in the domestic market, XCMG has been expanding its overseas business.
Now, the sales proportion of the G-Generation products, which were introduced by XCMG into the market less than 2 years ago, has exceeded 50%. In the field of mobile cranes weighing over 100 tons with high technology and high added value, XCMG’s market share is up to 55.6%, ranking first in China. Particularly in the field of all-terrain cranes above 1,000 tons, XCMG’s products have successfully taken the place of imported products and is gradually gaining dominance in the market. In the field of crawler cranes, XCMG’s market share increased by 10.3% last year, ranking first across the country.
Over the past years, XCMG has been ranking first across the crane industry in China. Last year, XCMG Hoisting Machinery Business Division maintained its high input in technical innovation, upgraded manufacturing and improved product quality. Solid Tire Performance Monitoring System A Patented Device Developed to Monitor Performance of a Solid Tire Trident has been granted a utility patent by the United States Patent Office (Patent number 10,017,017) for a device developed to measure and relay the temperature and usage of a solid tire. Heat build-up in solid tires is one of the main causes of failure. This is due to continuous operations, long duty cycles, long haul distances, increased operating speed which are typical service conditions in applications such as mining, industrial plant & material handling. The Solid Tire Performance Monitoring System (STPMS) consists of sensors encased in specially designed enclosure that can be embedded in a suitable sidewall aperture of a solid tire and a small handheld display monitor. The sensors continuously send the temperature of each tire to the display interface in real time and alert the user when temperature nears critical levels. The system also records the distance travelled by each tire thus enabling users monitor the life of the tire at any given point. On the auction day, all equipment items and trucks are sold, regardless of price. Bids can be placed in three different ways; live in person in the auction theater, live online via rbauction.com or by proxy-bids.
