The Government Network (GovNet) is a driving force behind Jamaica's evolving digital landscape. Recent infrastructure enhancements, including extensive fibre optic installations, have significantly boosted government connectivity. This secure network, connecting vital agencies, is streamlining operations and fostering collaboration. GovNet's impact extends beyond Kingston, laying the groundwork for a more digitally connected and efficient Jamaica.
GovNet provides redundancy among 24 core sites islandwide, improves communication and collaboration across government entities, and supports more efficient service delivery to the public.

PASSPORT, IMMIGRATION AND CITIZENSHIP AGENCY (PICA)

The Passport, Immigration and Citizenship Agency (PICA) of Jamaica is responsible for the issuance of passports, immigration control, and citizenship services. To enhance service delivery, PICA has embarked on a comprehensive digital transformation initiative focusing on modernising its systems to improve user experience and operational efficiency
Key features include:
Introduction of e-passports equipped with advanced biometric security features, Implementation of an online application and appointment system, Leveraging digital verification systems, including KIOSKs and eGates to enhance border security, enabling seamless and secure processing of travellers.

Our ission is to integrate technology into e teaching and learning process cross the island. In the financial year 024-2025, e-Learning Jamaica has mplemented and distributed:









25,000 device vouchers to teachers in infant, primary, secondary and tertiary schools under the Own Your Own Device (OYOD) Program.
1,000 projectors to infant, primary, secondary and tertiary schools island wide.
5,000 laptops to primary school labs island wide.
140 smart boards to public schools at all levels in 2024 with the intention to distribute a further 900 in 2025.
