Project Community LIFESAVER

The Center for Cardiac Arrest Survival (CCAS), in partnership with the Neighborhood Resilience Project, will be teaching lifesaving skill to the Hill District Community Attendees will learn the skills needed to respond to emergencies, including cardiac arrest, overdose, hemorrhage, and choking.

Zone 2 Public Safety Meeting Zone 2 Public Safety Council (PSC2) is a resident-driven, public safety group whose mission is to enhance the safety and quality of life for residents and businesses within the zone. Meetings are open to all who live or work in Police Zone 2.

The Community Engagement Center in the Hill District will close at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5 for Election Day.

Mission of Mercy Pittsburgh: Dental, Vision, and Hearing Clinic

Mission of Mercy will host their annual free two-day dental, vision, and hearing clinic. Services are available to the public ages 2 and up, and appointments do not need to be made in advance. Patients will be seen on a first-come first-serve basis, no insurance required.

Macedonia FACE Vaccines Clinic

In partnership with the U.S Department of Health and Human Services’ Risk Less, Do More Campaign, Macedonia FACE will be running a vaccine clinic to increase awareness of vaccines that reduce the risk of serious illness from flu, COVID-19, and RSV and to limit the spread of these viruses among older adults in our community.

Thanksgiving Closure

Hill Community Development Corporation: Operation HOME Workshop

The Urban League will conduct their November Homebuyer in-person workshop, with an in-person option in the Hill District. Participants will be given opportunities to do hands-on exercises, win prizes and talk one-on-one with funders and other resource partners Anyone who is at a closing level will receive their First Time Homebuyer Certification.

Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh: Digital Skills Android Basics

Learn how to navigate and get the most out of a phone or tablet using Android, Google’s popular operating system that is used by most device manufacturers other than Apple. We will review the CIPA and NCIPA legislation and how the library uses filtering to keep minors safe online.
