Congratulations to the graduating Spring 2026 Grant Writing Workshop Cohort! The Grant Writing Workshop was led by faculty from the University of Pittsburgh’s Writing Institute, Dana Nowlin-Russell and Liberty Ferda. Dana and Liberty taught the foundational skills of crafting successful grant proposals. Over the course of four weeks, participants received hands-on experience in grant writing by crafting proposals for a “mini-grant.” Special congratulations to our first, second, and thirdplace winners, Shiquita Pratt, Dale Sifontes-PierreLavine, and Shawna Carter, respectively. TUESDAY, JULY 16 4 p.m. - 5 p.m. Accessible Poster Design During this program, teens will learn how visual design can be more accessible to people with visual and cognitive impairments and disabilities. Teens will design an accessible poster following basic accessibility guidelines for people with visual and cognitive impairment and disabilities. The event is part of our Disability Pride 2026 programming.
