I t is my rare privilege to present our

2023 Impact Report to you, our esteemed partner. Your role in our story is invaluable and we thank you.

2023 ushered us into the fifth year as an organization, a significant

milestone in our journey towards greater impact. Despite the difficult economic times, we were fortunate to have soared to new heights of achievements; providing 7,991 medical and surgical interventions to over 3,970 individuals, (exceeding our five-year inception target); Stretching our wings beyond the South-West with the PF Scholarship Program, we reached into the hearts of the South-South and North-Central regions. It fills me with immense pride to say that 62 PF Scholars have now been embraced by “adopters” who have pledged to support their journey through tertiary education.

The transformation witnessed in the 23 children of our Kids-Off-The-Streets (KOTS) shelter is nothing less than inspiring.

Both in personal growth and educational strides, these children have excelled. A special highlight is the graduation of Darasimi and Olalekan from primary to secondary school. Their journey is a symbol of hope and possibilities.

While we celebrate numerous lives positively impacted in the past five years, we are mindful that there are more mountains to conquer. It is with this understanding that our vision for the next five years focuses on expanding the shelter to accommodate 100 children, providing scholarships to 1,000 more and commencing construction of the ‘UBOMI Hospital’ to enable accelerated impact.

Despite the difficult economic times, we were fortunate to have soared to new heights of achievements...

PROGRAMS & INITIATIVES HEALTH WEBINARS & HEALTH CAMPAIGNS In the course of this year, along with renowned stakeholders within the health sector, we organized two impactful health webinars to address issues around the "Brain Drain in the Health Sector" and to provide valuable insights to help in "Safeguarding Your Health through Health Insurance."

As always, we continue to engage in health sensitization through our online health campaigns to promote awareness and encourage proactive measures for a healthier community.

DRUG DONATION Our team donated drugs worth over N1,167,890 to beneficiaries including St. Kizito Clinic, one of our valued partner hospitals, in support of their mission of providing accessible and enhanced medical care to all, especially to the underserved.

PROGRAMS & INITIATIVES PF SCHOLARS NOW IN DELTA AND BENUE STATES

A total of 133 students have benefited from the scholarship program till date.

Church and International Women Society of Nigeria, where they received catering and cake-making training. The goal of the M2M program is to provide economic empowerment for mothers with 2 or more children, who require a source of livelihood to enable them cater to their families.

TEACHERS TRAINED BY ISED In 2023, our partner, ISA School of Education (ISED), provided free training to 8 school leaders in our partner schools.

In

addition to candidates from Lagos, Ogun and Oyo states, Pistis Foundation scaled her scholarship program this year to include candidates from Delta and Benue States (outside the South-West region of Nigeria). A total of 133 students have benefited from the scholarship program till date. 116 are current beneficiaries including the 29 new scholars that joined in 2023.

TWO MOTHERS TRAINED IN M2M PROGRAM In 2023, we had a pilot run of our Mothers2Mothers (M2M) program with two KOTS mums - Mrs. Nse-Asuquo and Mrs. Nwachukwu as the first beneficiaries. The program was run in partnership with the Jewels Ministry of the Elevation

Through this collaboration, school leaders were empowered with new knowledge and skills to better impact their students academically.

ADOPT-A-PF-SCHOLAR The adopt-a-PF Scholar program allows for individual sponsors to adopt a particular child or children, and be part of their progressive journey, all through the program. A sponsor/ adopter will be able to review the child’s termly report, and based on other conditions, may be able to communicate directly with the child.

So far, 64 children have been adopted since the commencement of theAdopt-A-PF-Scholar program.

Her mother, a single mum, juggled multiple menial jobs to raise Peniel and her sister. While yearning to provide them with quality education, financial limitations often threatened their dreams. She held the sole responsibility for their upbringing and, at times, felt the weight of hope slipping away.

However, fate intervened in 2022 when Peniel was selected for the Pistis Foundation Scholarship program. Embracing this opportunity with determination, she embarked on a path of academic excellence.

At the end of the 2022/2023 Academic year, she was rewarded for her hard work. She was also awarded the “Best in Mathematics” in the secondary category and “Overall Best Performing Secondary PF Scholar" at the 2023 Pistis Foundation Scholarship Awards Ceremony.

HEALTH EDUCATION A significant achievement in our shelter

program this year has been the graduation from primary school of two of the shelter children, Darasimi and Lekan, and their successful transition to a new partner school - Rainbow College - on scholarship. 8 other children moved to Adorable Toes School and the 13 others continue to enjoy quality education at Sapphire Hall School, supported by our home tutors for extra reinforcement.

VOCATIONAL SKILLS

The children in the shelter received 94 health checkups and 16,284 meals in 2023, ensuring they meet the World Health Organisation (WHO) weight standards. We remain committed to their health, nutrition and holistic care in 2024.

The children experienced new opportunities to develop soft skills this year. Their attendance at the Machomind Children's Day celebration was a chance to enjoy fun mathematical activities while fostering creativity and developing problem-solving skills.

Having complete two years in Living Fountain School and a year and the half in Sapphire Hall School, they have now both successfully achieved scholarships to Rainbow College, a prestigious British Curriculum secondary school in Lagos and Ogun states.

We are extremely proud of them and look forward to helping them in this new phase of their lives and moving on to the next phase of our shelter model (Receive, Rehabilitate and Reintegrate) - Reintegrate. We are excited about helping them reintegrate into society and piloting this new phase of transitioning our children from the shelter back into their daily lives.

I n commemoration of our 5th Year Anniversary,

we held a press conference where our Founder and Board Chair, Godman Akinlabi, along with our Executive Director, Leonard F. Thomas together with other key stakeholders shared insights into our past achievements and impact footprint over the last 5 years.

The Press Conference was also held to formally announce the 4th edition of our annual, free, week-long flagship program - UBOMI Medical & Surgical Outreach, in partnership with Prohealth International. UBOMI 2023 was one of Pistis Foundation's 5th anniversary activities, and it recorded the highest number of interventions and beneficiaries at a single outreach.

We are grateful to all our partners and volunteers who give their time, treasures and expertise to help us achieve the goal of impacting more lives and ensuring a better future for the economically challenged in our target communities.

FUNDRAISING GARAGE SALES

T he Jewels ministry of The Elevation Church, Ikoyi, in partnership with Pistis Foundation and in commemoration of our 5th anniversary, hosted a garage sale, in November, 2023 to raise funds for the Kids Off the Streets Shelter Program. About N21 Million Naira was raised at the end of the program. We are grateful for their support.
