Two of our Year 12 students, currently undertaking their Level 3 Food Science and Nutrition qualification (equivalent to A Level), recently got the chance to step into the world of high-end hospitality at The Greyhound in Beaconsfield
They spent the day preparing the restaurant’s classic tasting menu, including highlights like Swede Terrine, Braised Ox Cheek, and Brixham Crab Prune Soufflé, learning the importance of plating, timing, and working at pace to ensure every element of a dish came together perfectly
The experience also focused on dietary considerations and customer experience, giving our students a true insight into the precision and teamwork required in a professional kitchen
A huge thank you to Daniel Crump and the team at The Greyhound for inspiring the next generation of chefs and hospitality professionals!

Seed’ receive high praise and win a local business competition
To add to the School’s considerable history of Young Enterprise success, we are thrilled that this year's team 'Afternoon Seed' won in the local business plan competition before Christmas, battling against other local Buckinghamshire schools
They received high praise in their feedback, with the judges saying: 'Not only a very catchy name but a very detailed plan that tells your story, a clear mission with multiple impacts including sustainability and a low cost to serve giving you maximum opportunity to increase profits'
We look forward to seeing more from this creative team.

Our Pre-Prep Students took part in the RSPB Big School Bird Watch and what an adventure it was! Braving the very uncertain weather, pulling on their wellies and looking skywards, they were brilliant ornithologists for the afternoon. We’re blessed with our Chiltern Hills location; wide open skies and beautiful surroundings, perfect for spotting a variety of birds.

Our students have been taking part in valuable First Aid and Self-Defence workshops, empowering sessions designed to build confidence, awareness and practical life skills.

From learning how to respond in an emergency, to developing techniques that promote personal safety, students threw themselves into the activities with enthusiasm and maturity

In January, Year 5 students took part in the Young Voices 2026 concert at The O2, performing as part of an extraordinary children’s choir of 9,000 voices
After an intensive three-hour rehearsal, the students delivered a two-hour concert, singing alongside an incredible live band, energetic dance crew, and inspiring guest artists. It was a truly memorable experience and a moment of pride for everyone involved.
Year 5 started working on the tracks back in June when they were still in Year 4. For over six months they have committed 100% to learning a diverse repertoire of songs and dances both in School Music lessons and through lots of practice at home.

As well as developing their musical skills, Young Voices has acted as a window to the world for students, opening doors to new ideas, cultures and conversations They have developed an understanding of the history of sea shanties, learned about the great Stevie Wonder and his campaigning for equality, discussed the power of believing in yourself through the very catchy ‘Power in Me’, and defied gravity time and time again as they soared through a clear favourite, ‘The Wicked Medley’

Singing as part of a choir builds confidence and a powerful sense of belonging, and at Young Voices this is magnified as students become part of something so much bigger. Alongsid b ti i l fid d llb i hild become part of a community of the shared energy of thousan

We were proud to have had some of our Sixth Form students invited to perform for the 'Forget-Me-Nots Club' in Prestwood, a club that has been running since 1961. In this monthly meet up for over 60s in the local community, members get together for an afternoon tea and entertainment, such as bingo or a quiz. Our students sang for around half an hour, then handed out some gifts to club members who had a birthday in the last month, and then stayed for tea and cake and to talk to the members Our students will be returning again in May, which is already exciting community club members

An enormous well done to our students who dominated at the National Schools Equestrian Association County Qualifier early in the New Year.
