2025–2026 IMPACT REPORT

Dear friends and supporters of Prep@Pingree, As co-chairs of the Prep@Pingree Advisory Board, we are pleased to share our 2026 Impact Report. Because of your generosity, Prep@Pingree continues to provide life-changing opportunities for students. This past summer, we welcomed 83 students to a leadership program filled with curiosity, connection, and growth. Every day, students and teachers brought remarkable energy and enthusiasm to campus, creating a community where learning and belonging flourished. As we celebrate the 25th year of The Malcolm Coates Prep@Pingree Program, we are deeply grateful for the donors, foundations, corporations, volunteers, and friends who make this work possible. Thank you for believing in our students and investing in their futures. We look forward to continue celebrating this milestone with you. 2025 - 2026 HIGHLIGHTS

CELEBRATING 25 YEARS OF POSSIBILITY For 25 years, Prep@Pingree has expanded educational opportunities by supporting talented students and their families through enriching summer and year-round programming. What began as a bold vision has grown into a thriving community built on academic excellence, mentorship, and lasting relationships, opening doors for generations of young people across the region. As Pingree advances The Power of Possibility Campaign, Prep@Pingree remains a cornerstone of the school’s commitment to educational access and student success.

A Year of Celebration

May 30 | Alumni Family Reunion Day Nearly 200 Prep@Pingree students, alumni and family members returned to campus for Summer Orientation and Alumni Family Reunion Day. Despite a nor'easter outside, the Athletic Center was filled with warmth, connection, and celebration as current students, graduates, families, and supporters reflected on 25 years of impact and looked ahead to the future. October 9 | 25th Anniversary Celebration The celebration continues this fall with the 25th Anniversary Celebration, a special anniversary reception honoring the people, partnerships, and community that have shaped Prep@Pingree over the past quarter century. The evening will celebrate the program’s legacy while looking ahead to the opportunities still to come.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS SUPPORTING STUDENTS. STRENGTHENING FUTURES. Every Prep@Pingree student deserves the opportunity to succeed in high school, college, and beyond. Thanks to the generosity of our community, Prep@Pingree provides yearround support through three interconnected programs that help students build knowledge, confidence, and lasting connections.

A Strong Start: Academic Enrichment The cornerstone of Prep@Pingree is our four-week summer leadership and enrichment program. Students sharpen their skills in math, English, history, engineering design, financial literacy, science, and the arts while learning from exceptional public and private school educators. Field trips and college exploration experiences encourage students to think bigger, ask questions, and imagine what’s possible. They leave prepared for the school year ahead and excited for what comes next.

Connections That Last: Peer Mentorship The Prep@Pingree experience does not end when summer does. Through our peer mentorship program, eighth-grade students are matched with Prep@Pingree alumni who have successfully navigated the same academic journey. Monthly conversations provide encouragement, practical advice, and a trusted connection during the transition to high school and throughout the college admissions process. These relationships strengthen confidence and create a community that continues to grow with every graduating class.

Opening Doors: PrepWorks Internships Career readiness begins with opportunity. PrepWorks connects college-aged alumni with meaningful summer internships where they gain professional experience, expand their networks, and explore future careers. These experiences help alumni develop the skills and confidence to thrive in the workplace while opening doors that can shape their futures for years to come. The 2027 summer program will begin on July 6 and end on July 30, 2027. For more information, visit www.pingree.org/prepatpingree.

HISTORY COMES ALIVE

THE PREP!PINGREE CIVIL RIGHTS JOURNEY Every other year, Prep@Pingree students spend a week traveling through the American South on a Civil Rights journey. Students visit significant sites in Atlanta, Birmingham, and Selma, deepening their understanding of the Civil Rights Movement and the people who fought for equality and justice. Through this firsthand immersive experience, students are encouraged to ask difficult questions, consider multiple perspectives, and connect history to the world they live in today. This trip is an opportunity for students to build confidence, strengthen relationships, and see themselves as engaged citizens with the power to make a difference.

HEAR FROM OUR ALUMNI DISCOVERY AND VISIONS FOR THE FUTURE

BERENICE’S UNEXPECTED DISCOVERY As a Pingree School and Prep@Pingree alumna, Berenice’s college journey is a testament to growth, curiosity, and embracing the unexpected. After arriving at Wellesley College intending to pursue medicine, she discovered a passion for economics, ultimately graduating with double majors in Economics and Spanish. Along the way, Berenice studied abroad in Spain, completed an entrepreneurship program at MIT, and gained professional experience through an internship that grew into a part-time role in banking. She is now exploring a future in finance or accounting while remaining committed to mentoring her younger sister as she navigates her own educational journey. Reflecting on her experience, Berenice credits Pingree School and Prep@Pingree with preparing her to thrive in new environments, build confidence, and pursue opportunities she never imagined.

JOELIN’S VISION FOR THE FUTURE

A proud Pingree School and Prep@Pingree alumnus, Joelin graduated from Colby College after balancing varsity football with a rigorous academic career. With his sights set on finance, he has gained valuable industry exposure through networking, mentorship, and professional shadowing experiences that are shaping his next steps. As he launches his career, Joelin is equally focused on creating opportunities for those coming behind him. He hopes his younger brothers can benefit from the lessons he learned navigating college and career planning, just as he benefited from the foundation he built at Pingree School and Prep@Pingree. Looking back, Joelin credits both programs with preparing him academically while helping him develop the confidence, perspective, and adaptability to succeed in college and beyond.
