Together, We Make a Difference

Every year at Middle Campus, each 3rd through 6th-grade class participates in a service project that connects students to the community beyond Pinewood's walls. Through the process, our students learn about real-world challenges and come to understand that they have the power and capability to make a difference. Students meet at lunch, make posters, work with their teachers, and present their achievements at their weekly campus assembly. 4th Grade Beach Cleanup and Battery Recycling

in partnership with Pacific Beach Coalition

Collected over 86 pounds of trash, 7 pounds of recyclables, and 191 cigarette filters from Linda Del Mar Beach in Pacifica

Collected 71 pounds of used batteries, donated them to a recycling center, and kept them out of landfills
