MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR Dear Pinewood Community, The red carpet has been rolled out, the Oscars have been polished, and the winning envelopes are under lock and key! I am so excited to share the catalog for the Pinewood 2022 Benefit Auction, OSCAR NIGHT with you! Within its pages, you will find unique opportunities for faculty-led student experiences, getaways to beautiful places offered by our generous community members and exclusive sports packages.

As you browse through these lovely items, please remember that all proceeds from this event–online and in person–go toward Pinewood Faculty Professional Development and the Graduate Study Reimbursement Program. I hope you are as thrilled as I am to have this opportunity to support our teachers in their efforts to continue to grow professionally–to become better teachers so they can create the excellent learning environment that is the hallmark of a Pinewood education.

During the last two years, Pinewood faculty have worked tirelessly to nurture our children’s minds and hearts in the face of a global pandemic. Your support of the Benefit Auction is one way to thank them for their dedication and hard work.

Fund-A-Need is an outright donation to Faculty Professional Development and the Graduate Reimbursement Program.

If you are going to choose one area to support at the Auction, we encourage you to choose this one.

Faculty Professional Development and the Graduate Study Reimbursement Program is a distinctive fund that supports Pinewood’s incredible faculty and staff. The fund provides much-needed resources for ongoing faculty participation in conferences and programs where they learn the best possible ways to create an excellent academic experience for our students. Pinewood faculty pride themselves on being lifelong learners and consistently working to improve their teaching techniques by aligning them with current best practices and research.

Pinewood is also proud to offer a Graduate Study Reimbursement Program through which our faculty can pursue a parttime graduate degree while continuing to teach.

RULES & PROCEDURES PAYMENT IN FULL Your pre-registered credit card will automatically be charged at the end of the evening for any purchases made in the Live Auction, Fund-A-Need, games, and raffles. For all other silent auction categories, your preregistered card will be charged on Monday, April 11th, at 10:00 pm, when the online silent auction closes. Contact events@pinewood.edu if you will need to change your form of payment.

ALL SALES ARE FINAL All items are sold as-is. There are no exchanges or refunds. All auction items and services must be used by the date listed in BidPal or on your award certificate.

Any limitations are at the discretion of the donors and are not the responsibility of Pinewood School.

PICK UP ITEMS All purchased items must be claimed between April 13th-15th at Pinewood’s Middle Campus ITEM VALUE Stated values are not warranted by Pinewood School for tax purposes or general value. Payment of an auction price in excess of an item’s fair market value may qualify for a tax deduction. Please consult your tax advisor for advice.
