Anti - Bullying Week Student Services has prepared some activities, in collaboration with students from Grade 9, for anti-bullying day, which is on March 6. The activities are in-class activities and whole-school projects.

March 6: Students and teachers wear odd socks to show uniqueness!

March 7: We will create a tree on the bulletin board, where you will asked to write down what can be done to prevent bullying in our school March 8 Advisory: Students Grades 7 to 9 should complete the questionnaire prepared

by Grade 9 students.

Take an old t-shirt and create a strong message against bullying!

March 9: Boarding games in the library, during Break and Lunch.

March 10: Wear the t-shirt to school to raise awareness.

During P4, we will also have an assembly regarding anti-bullying activities (external professionals to talk to Grade 7-10 students).

Advisory March 15: Pledge an agreement with the whole classroom that non bullying cases will occur (some classes have already completed that and it was very successful and creative for students and teachers); A reminder will be sent the week of March 15.

Biodiversity Loss Biodiversity loss refers to the decline or extinction of biological diversity, understood as the variety of species that live on this planet. As a society, we are falling short of all the goals set for reducing biodiversity loss by 2023, which will have a significant negative impact on us, other species, and nature itself.

One of the biggest negative effects of biodiversity loss is that it threatens human well-being by affecting soil and water, which are essential for food production. This harms humans as well as other animals like fish and other wildlife that consume food that grows in the infected soil and drinks contaminated water. Thousands of different species are at danger as a result of habitat destruction and change. Biodiversity loss has inclined at an alarming rate this decade, largely due to human activity. When we think of pollution, we might picture the airborne exhaust fumes from moving vehicles, but biodiversity is also impacted by other types of pollution, such as noise and light pollution. This is why biodiversity loss is such a major issue in our society, and as can be seen in the picture, the future is not looking good for all species if we continue on this path of harming our ecosystem.

It includes hilarious dialogues and plots. This movie takes a lot of twists and turns after Kate Hudson decides to write something new for an article. Love can be found in the most unexpected places and this movie showcases exactly that.

ANTI-VAPING CAMPAIGN As the student council, we are trying our best to promote a healthy lifestyle to the Pinewood community. After several recurring vaping reports on campus, we have started an anti-vaping campaign. We have printed and placed posters on boards and walls all over the school to shed light on the smoking epidemic that has flooded our school. Each one of us being class representatives, prioritize our peers’ health and their foreseeable future.

It is scientifically proven that people who vape from adolescence are prone to start smoking regular tobacco cigarettes and are extremely likely to develop other addictions in the future as well as illnesses and a weaker immune system. In addition, smokers are also more likely than non-smokers to develop depression over time. So all together, hand in hand as the Pinewood community, let's say NO to illnesses, NO to depression, and overall NO TO SMOKING!

Newsletter We, as a Student Council, are concerned about the health of Pinewood students. We want to warn you about the following complications that can occur after contact with stray animals: 1. An animal can scratch or bite. This can lead to rabies, tetanus and cat scratch disease. There are also many pathogenic germs in the saliva and on the surface of the claws that enter the wound and cause festering if the skin is damaged.

2. Infections with helminths are theoretically possible. The most common disease is toxocariasis. People become ill by accidental ingestion of larvae, which may be on the hair.

3. Infection with dermatophytosis - lichen. It is enough just to pet an infected animal. It is difficult to determine if a stray animal has the disease or not. There may be no manifestations on the coat and the animal is an asymptomatic carrier.

Contact with street animals is a risk.

If you want to pay attention to an animal, we advise you to follow the rules: 1. Touch only those who want to make contact.

Caress gently and as soon as you notice that the animal is not happy - finish.

2. Do not feed from your hands. In a fit of emotion, the animal may attack you.

3. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water and disinfect them with antiseptic immediately after handling.

1.) According to top officials of the Pinewood Library, 50% of the books in the library have no words in them. A source has stated that a full inventory of the lost words will be made, and no letter will be left unturned.

2.) After an intense investigation about the recent power disruptions of the school, it was found that the cause of power outage was a hungry dog named Burrito that was biting the laptop wires of studious DP students in the library.

3.) Starting next Friday, school bells will be set randoming during school hours as a part of a new initiative to improve student awareness and ability to spring to action.

4.) The Greek government is proposing a law that bans the cutting down of fig trees, and the punishment will be the shaving of one of the criminal's eyebrows. There is heavy debate about the penalty for olive trees…

5.) New School Policy: Before entering a classroom, the student must knock on the door and say, "Hello." To be allowed to enter the room, the teacher must state, "It's me."

6.) Left handed scissors were found to be a fake product and used as a marketing trick to sell more scissors. Mittens are also highly suspicious and under investigation as we speak…
