Pine Street is a Welcoming Church, Glorifying God through Worship, Fellowship and Service in the World.
Second Sunday after Pentecost
Teach us, good Lord, to serve you as you deserve; to give and not to count the cost; to fight and not to heed the wounds; to toil and not to seek for rest; to labor and not to ask for any reward, save that of knowing that we do your will; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

SALUTATION
One: Through our baptism, we are dead to sin
Many: Now we are alive to God in Christ Jesus.
† Those able are invited to stand Bold text is read or sung by all
Joanne Coles
One: Send out your light and your truth, O God, that I might be lead and brought to your holy sanctuary.
Many: For you are the God of our strength. May I come to your altar with joy and gladness.
One: As the deer longs for the streams, so my soul thirst for you, O God.
Many: Deep calls to deep at the thunder of your cataracts. By day you command lovingkindness and at night your song remains.
One: With worship, let us put our trust in our help and our God.
† HYMN 35 Praise Ye the Lord, the Almighty
† PRAYER OF CONFESSION
God of Grace, we have harmed your children whom you love. Because we do not understand, we reject, demonize, and hurt. Forgive us, in your infinite love, and teach us to welcome all your children until our hospitality reaches as wide as your mercy. Help us to understand others as we wish to be understood. Guide us to love one another as you love us.
SILENCE FOR PERSONAL CONFESSION
ASSURANCE OF PARDON
One: This is the truth: you belong to Christ and Christ alone. As we seek to be more like him, believe the good news of his gospel: Many: In Jesus Christ we are forgiven. Thanks be to God.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen, Amen.

PRESENTATION
One: There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your calling,
Many: one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all and through all and in all.
Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy ghost, the holy catholic Church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.
One: The Lord be with you.
Many: And also with you.
One: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God. Many: It is right to give God thanks and praise.
One: With joy and thanksgiving, we welcome you into the body of Christ. Many: Alleluia! Amen.
One: The peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Many: And also with you.

Chilcott
Be thou my vision, O Lord of my heart, be all else but naught to me, save that thou art; be thou my best thought in the day and the night, both waking and sleeping, thy presence my light. Be thou my wisdom, be thou my true word; be thou ever with me, and I with thee, Lord; be thou my great Father, and I thy true son; be thou in me dwelling, and I with thee one. Be thou and thou only the first in my heart; O Sovereign of heaven, my treasure thou art; great heart of my own heart, whatever befall, still be thou my vision, be thou my vision, be thou my vision, O Ruler of all.
