PRAYER OF PREPARATION
Merciful God, you have told us who you are, and we still struggle to believe. In Jesus Christ, you reveal your unending care for us, and we give thanks. In this hour, grant us the vision of the world you see, a world without hunger, thirst, or tears. And as we depart, lead us into the future you are preparing, as we follow with grateful hearts. Amen.
VOLUNTARY My Shepherd, You Supply My Need Robert Hobby (Please use the opening voluntary as a time of silent meditation and preparation for worship.)

† PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Eternal God, in the presence of our enemies, we divide and demonize. When you face our enemies, you choose neither contempt nor punishment, but set a table and make provision for us all. Our ways are not your ways, O Creator, and they are an affront to the work of your hands. Have mercy on us, O God, and heal us. Send our risen Lord among us again to repair relationships and restore humanity. Set us free to share the love of Christ Jesus just as he does at his table.

† ASSURANCE OF PARDON

† AFFIRMATION OF FAITH
The Apostles’ Creed I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy ghost, the holy catholic Church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.
† THE PEACE
One: The peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.
Many: And also with you.
