ANTHEM The King of Love My Shepherd Is Felix Mendelssohn

The King of Love my Shepherd is, whose goodness faileth never, I nothing lack if I am His, and He is mine forever. Where streams of living water flow my ransomed soul He leadeth, and where the verdant pastures grow, with food celestial feedeth. The King of Love my Shepherd is, His goodness faileth never. Perverse and foolish oft I strayed, but yet in love He sought me, and on His shoulder gently laid, and home rejoicing brought me. In death’s dark vale I fear no ill with Thee, dear Lord, beside me. Thy rod and staff my comfort still, Thy cross before to guide me. The King of Love my Shepherd is. His goodness faileth never. And so through all the length of days, Thy goodness faileth never; Good Shepherd, may I sing Thy praise within Thy house forever, within Thy house forever.

† AFFIRMATION OF FAITH Philippians 2:6-11

We believe in Jesus Christ, who, though he was in the form of God, did not regard equality with God as something to be exploited but emptied himself, taking the form of a slave, being born in human likeness. And being found in human form, he humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death even death on a cross. Therefore, God also highly exalted him and gave him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus, every knee should bend, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Amen.

† THE PEACE

One: The peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Many: And also with you.

THE OFFERING OF TITHES AND GIFTS TO GOD (Text 267-367-4910 to give)

ANTHEM Thou Art the Way Christopher Steel

Thou art the way: by thee alone from sin and death we flee; and he who would the Father seek must seek him, Lord, by thee. Thou art the truth: thy word alone true wisdom can impart; thou only canst inform the mind and purify the heart. Thou art the life: the rendering tomb proclaims thy conquering arm; and those who put their trust in thee nor death hell shall harm. Thou are the way, the truth, the life: grant us that way to know, that truth to keep, that life to win, whose joys eternal flow.
