G ATHERING IN THE P RESENCE OF THE R ISEN C HRIST
PRAYER OF PREPARATION
Selfless Christ, though we rejected your teachings, you poured out your life for us anyway. In your resurrection, you continue to nourish us with your steadfast love and the power of your Spirit. In this time together, enliven our hearts, that we might share the nourishment we have received and feed your people. Amen.
VOLUNTARY Take My Life And Let It Be arr. by Raluca Bojor (Please use the opening voluntary as a time of silent meditation and preparation for worship.)
SALUTATION
One: Worthy is Christ, the Lamb who was slain.
Many: Blessings and honor and glory to God!
CALL TO WORSHIP
One: We glorify you, O Lord, for you have lifted us up.
Many: O Lord, our God, we cried out to you, and you healed us.
Sarah Pearce
One: Sing praises to the Lord, O faithful ones, and praise God’s holy name.
Many: For God’s anger is but for a moment, but God’s favor is for a lifetime.
One: Weeping may linger for the night, but joy comes with the morning.
Many: O God, you have turned our mourning into dancing! Let us worship God!

† PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Generous God, in Jesus you have shown us love love that seeks, love that suffers, love that survives all things. You call us, even command us, to show that love in our lives. Yet we turn away from what you would have us do. We confess that the ways of love are not our ways. We deny and ignore, hurt and hate, despise and reject. Have mercy on us. Help us to receive your love so that we can love others. Help us to receive your love so that we can love ourselves.

† ASSURANCE OF PARDON
One: The resurrection of Jesus shows us the grace of God is stronger than death and the love of God has no boundary. This is good news!
Many: In Jesus Christ we are forgiven!

† AFFIRMATION OF FAITH
The Apostles’ Creed I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy ghost, the holy catholic Church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.
† THE PEACE
One: The peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Many: And also with you.

ANTHEM Jesus, Make My Heart Rejoice

Robert J. Powell
Jesus makes my heart rejoice; I'm his lamb, and I know his voice. He's my shepherd, gently guiding, in his pastures now abiding; constant love to me he shows, yes, my very name he knows. Trusting in his path always, I go in and out with peace. He will feed me with the treasure of his grace in richest measure, when I thirst, to him I cry, living water he'll supply. Shall I sing how blest I am, led by Jesus, as his lamb? For when all my days are over, in the arms of my dear Savior, welcome will be my delight, joy forever in his sight!
