VOLUNTARY Come, Thou Fount
arr. by Joseph Martin (Please use the opening voluntary as a time of silent meditation and preparation for worship.)
† CALL TO WORSHIP One: Happy are those who act with justice and always do what is right. Many: But we have done wrong, just as our forebears did. One: They worshipped a molten image and exchanged their glory for a fantasy of your presence. Many: But Moses stood in the breach, and only your mercy consumed them. One: Your mercy endures forever. Who can utter your mighty doings or proclaim your praise in full? Many: Remember us with the favor you have for your people. Visit us with your salvation. ________________________________________________________________________________________
† Those able are invited to stand.

† HYMN 41 O Worship the King, All Glorious Above!
LYONS
† PRAYER OF CONFESSION True God from True God, we have not built a golden calf, but we have worshipped idols. We have put our trust in what we build with our own hands. We find security in what we can hoard instead of trusting your provision. We listen to lies that spread hatred and division instead of the radical truth of your word. Forgive us. Melt down our idols until we see only you and fix our sight on your way alone.
† SILENCE FOR PERSONAL CONFESSION † KYRIE
† ASSURANCE OF PARDON One:
God shows us a different way – a way of truth, honor, justice, purity, and excellence. This path is open to all of us if we reach out and accept God’s forgiveness. Many: We will live as God’s people, forgiven and freed. Thanks be to God!

† AFFIRMATION OF FAITH
The Rev. Seelman
The Apostles’ Creed I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.
† THE PEACE One:
The peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.
Many: And also with you.
WELCOME AND PARISH LIFE THE OFFERING OF TITHES AND GIFTS TO GOD
ANTHEM This is the Hour of Banquet and Song
Alfred V. Fedak This is the hour of banquet and of song; this is the heavenly table spread for me; here let me feast, and feasting still prolong the brief, bright hour of fellowship with thee. Too soon we rise, we go our several ways; the feast, though not the love, is past and gone, the Bread and Wine consumed, yet all our days, thou still art here with us, our shield and sun. Feast after feast thus comes and passes by, and passing, points to the glad feast above, giving us foretaste of the festal joy, the Lamb’s great marriage feast of bliss and love.
† PRESENTATION OF THE GIFTS Praise God, from whom all blessings flow; praise Christ, all people here below; Praise Holy Spirit evermore; praise triune God, whom we adore. Amen.
† PRAYER OF DEDICATION SEALING THE WORD SACRAMENT OF THE LORD’S SUPPER INVITATION TO THE TABLE GREAT PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING One: The Lord be with you. Many: And also with you. One: Lift up your hearts. Many: We lift them to the Lord. One: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God. Many: It is right to give God thanks and praise.
… of the universal church and the heavenly choir:
The prayer continues. … as we share this joyful feast:
INTERCESSION, SUPPLICATION, AND CONSECRATION One: In your mercy, Many: Lord, hear our prayer.
… now and forever.
LORD’S PRAYER Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
DISTRIBUTION OF THE BREAD AND CUP One: The gifts of God for the people of God. Many: Let us keep the feast.
