Third Sunday of Easter
Risen and Living God, in your endless love and grace, you have given us all we need. Open our weary eyes to moments when need meets resource and longing is satisfied in giving. Send us where you need us and fill us with your purpose, so that all people may know the wonder and joy of your redeeming presence, through Jesus the Christ. Amen.

The risen Christ, who walks on wounded feet from garden tomb through darkened city street, unlocks the door of grief, despair, and fear, and speaks a word of peace to all who hear. May we, Christ’s body, walk and serve and stand with the oppressed in this and every land, till all are blessed and can a blessing be restored in Christ to true humanity.

† CALL TO WORSHIP
One: Come, people of God, let us offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving.
Many: In the presence of all his people, we will lift up God’s holy name.
One: For God is gracious and merciful, full of compassion and love.
Many: While we were still helpless, God came to save us.
One: O Lord, we are truly your servants, the children of your Church.
Many: We will fulfill our vows in the courts of the Lord’s house. Let us worship God!
PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Eternally patient God, we ask again and again, “What should we do?” And again and again, you tell us, “Repent and return to me.” Yet we have not changed our ways. We fall into old habits, cling to our own ways, and take for granted the grace you have given us. Once again, we ask you for forgiveness. Show us the way forward and help us return, once again, to you.
† ASSURANCE OF PARDON
One: God raised Christ from the dead and gave him glory so that our faith and hope are set on God. In resurrected faith, our sins are forgiven.
Many: We are born anew through the eternal, living word of God. Alleluia! Praise to the risen Christ!
