➔ Club leaders Peyton from Bowie and Shelby, formerly from Beal, organized with Bec, the corporate secretary, to make the cooking club a reality. They had their first cooking lesson on August 15th with co-opers joining and preparing omelettes and fried peanut butter jelly sandwiches for dessert. If you are interested in making simple and cost-effective entrees and yummy sweets or just to get together with others to make good things to eat, email Peyton at obrienpe@msu.edu or Bec.

Management Report, {August, 2025}
➔ Everyone was anxiously awaiting the interim season--where co-opers get to switch houses, leave the SHC, or stay in their same house. It all involves having your house in temporary disarray, some serious cleaning, and a lot of organizing within your house if you’re an interim coordinator. I want everyone to pat themselves on the back for the busiest season for everyone, between cleaning and moving, or both. Thank you for making this interim season a smooth one!
➔ New Member Orientation occurred at the MSU Student Union on August 23rd and 24th from noon to 3 pm. All new members were required to attend to learn about the organizational structure, about their rights and responsibilities, how to look up resources from the Google Drive and pay charges, and finally, how to submit a maintenance request if needed. Thank you to all who came for allowing us to provide educational materials and resources. If you need more assistance, information, or guidance, please refer to the SHC Google Drive or contact me with any questions.

ELFCO is accepting applications for a new general manager. Applications just closed, and they’re expecting to have a new manager by the end of this month. The SHC Education Committee made a generous donation of $3,000 to help them and appreciated the interest in bulk-buying for the organization. They’re also in talks of having their new general manager help support ANC’s food program.

Jake (Orion): Something about analyzing an economy driven by a vampiric warring class. I swore I had figured out a solution then I woke up and got really annoyed and tried resuming the dream only to get lucid sleep.
Avie (Phoenix): i had a dream that I was at rainforest cafe with Prince and he was BEGGING people for ibuprofens, and someone told him “I have one, but you can only have it if you take out your two front teeth”. and he wanted 5 ibuprofens, so he had to keep going around and doing tasks for people.
Alexina (Orion): Had a dream I watched someone get jumped by a mob and had my mom in-dream gaslight me into saying that I didn't see that and that I was dreaming. My response was basically "shit you're right" and then I promptly woke up.
Onyx (Apollo): In like 95% of my dreams, I am a cis man. However, when I am not, I have a recurring body horror nightmare where I find out that I am pregnant, and my body starts slowly de-transitioning even though I am literally infertile and that is not how it works. I have woken up in cold sweats multiple times
Abby (Orion): I used to have a reoccurring dream that the great wall of China was falling on top of me and I would always wake up right before I got squished
Angie (Vesta): i was 7 and i dreamt i was a waitress at a cafe and all of the other waitresses were unicorns and i was being ridiculed for being human.
Nick (Orion): Jack was pregnant and went i to labor at the joint chick fila and taco bell with my friends whispering sweet advertisements into my ears. We put Jack in the trunk of the f@gmobile with me driving. his friends were yelling at me about my driving bc i kept crashing into stuff so they voted to remove me as driver after pulling into an empty lot by a different taco bell
Caleb (Phoenix): I gambled a 50/50 in a vending machine with a couple hundred million and lost with a strangers debit card
Logan (Bower): Chased down the middle of an abandoned city by a panther.
Rachael (Vesta): Lowkey that Georgia died and I had to run to her room and make sure she was alive
Myron (Orion): I was hanging out w a group (me, fake dream boyfriend, friend and her boyfriend, one other friend) in a pool trying to kill my boyfriend by getting him into the pool duct that shreds u to death but instead one of my friends got caught in there even tho I didn't want her to >:( but she went in and got chopped up so blood starts filling the pool and then the water stopped cycling properly so it kept getting higher and I was like diving to the bottom trying to get into the emergency duct to escape
Valentine (Apollo): I used to have a recurring dream as a child, where for some reason there was a urinal in the bathroom of the house I was growing up in, and after I used it I tried to flush it but it wouldnt work, and then a robotic claw came out and dragged me around the house demanding me to say my please's and thank you's.
Clara (Bower): I can’t
