Adult Male, Juvenile Arrested as Suspects in Double Shooting
PEMBERTON—Two suspects, one of them a juvenile, were arrested May 3 in the shooting of two men in the Sunbury Village section of Pemberton Township.
The two victims, a 20-year-old Willingboro resident, who sustained a gunshot wound to the leg and was transported to Cooper Hospital in Camden, and a 19-year-old from Cinnaminson who was treated at Virtua Memorial Hospital of Burlington County for a gunshot wound in the arm, have both been listed in stable condition, police said.
The suspects, who matched a description of individuals fleeing the area of Kinsley Road after gunshots were reported there, were apprehended and detained, while a third was still being sought.
Police said three firearms were also found in the vicinity of where the shots were fired.
One of them, Martin Demarceus, 25, of Beverly, was charged with possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a defaced firearm and possession of a large capacity magazine and was lodged in the Burlington County Jail in Mount Holly pending a court appearance.
His companion, a 15-year-old from Pemberton, was charged with similar offenses and lodged in the
Middlesex County Juvenile Detention Center while waiting to appear in court.
Details about the third suspect were not released. Police said the investigation was ongoing.
