Du Quoin High School Graduation
The Du Quoin High School Class of 2022 gets their class picture taken prior to the May 20 graduation ceremony on Van Metre Field. All graduates wore orange and red ribbons in honor of 2020 Herrin High School graduate Chance Karnes, who passed away in a May 14 car crash in Monroe County a day after his 20th birthday while on his way to a wedding reception with the bride and groom.

Pinckneyville Junior High School 8th Grade Graduation
At the conclusion of the ceremony on May 20, Pinckneyville Junior High School graduates celebrated by setting off poppers, sending a cloud of confetti into the air above them.

District 50 School Board Vice President Austin Marlow kicks-off the graduation ceremony with a few words in thanks to Superintendent Scott Wagner, who was set to retire at the conclusion of the 2021-2022 school year.
District 50 School Board Vice President Austin Marlow had the privilege of presenting his son, Reed, with his diploma during graduation. Father and son share a brief moment of dialogue before embracing each other in a hug before the younger Marlow exits the stage.
