Welcome Spring!
Spring in Arizona is a beautiful sight. The weather is perfect, baseball fans flock to the metro area for Cactus League Spring training, and outdoor enthusiasts hit the trails to see our beautiful desert landscapes and wildflowers.
Florence’s beauty and character shine through during this time. Both the desert and the Town are in full bloom displaying radiant color palates and familiar faces along Main Street and throughout Florence.
In spring, you can count on an event happening almost every weekend in Florence. The 37th Annual Historic Home Tour will be held on the second Saturday in February and attracts hundreds of visitors to our timehonored town. Event guests are welcomed into one-of-a-kind homes to take in a blend of modern and historical features. Our guests
are always pleased to find original architecture mixed with fascinating background on how these buildings have been restored to meet contemporary needs. Guests also enjoy surveying the unique furniture and Do It Yourself (DIY) projects displayed in many of the historic homes. If you have never visited our Historic Home Tour, please do – this is an event that everyone is sure to enjoy.
I encourage all Florence residents to take some time to enjoy the outdoors this spring. Hiking the Poston Butte Preserve is a great way to get the heart pumping while enjoying a beautiful view of our town. The Storywalk© at Heritage Park is also an excellent opportunity to spend some time in the park while experiencing the joy of reading and physical activity.
