Discovery Club Community Center
Discovery Club is a safe and fun environment for kindergarten to 6th-grade children to enjoy after school. Participants will enjoy daily activities centered around, leadership, science, arts, life skills, and sports. Discovery Club is held Monday through Friday during the following times:

Rotating Art Exhibit

Viney Jones Library
The Viney Jones Library and Community Center is home to a monthly rotating art exhibit. This exhibit aims to showcase a different artist or art organization each month. If you are interested in displaying your work please follow the QR Code to complete the application and review our guidelines.
Discovery Club staff. All participants must be picked up at the Community Center by 6:00 pm.
*All mediums are welcome in this exhibit including paintings, drawings, photographs, pottery, fiber art, metal art, jewelry, sculpture, mixed media, and more.

Fall and Winter Intersession Program Community Center

The Intersession Program provides a fun, safe, stimulating place for children to enjoy during the day over Florence Unified School District’s Fall and Winter Breaks. This program has rotating morning classes and activities that include sports, games, arts & crafts, STEM activities, cooking, and more. In the afternoons on scheduled days, the Intersession Program will take in-town field trips to the Dorothy Nolan Senior Center.
Winter Intersession will not be hosted on the following observed holidays:

Transportation is available for residents in the Anthem area to and from the Community Center. Breakfast and lunch are not provided. Spots are limited and on a first come first served basis. Register your child to secure their spot in the program.
Anthem pick-up and drop-off will be located at the Anthem K-8 parking lot. Bus will arrive at 6:30 a.m. and depart at 7:00 a.m.
Return bus will arrive at Anthem at 5:10 p.m. and remain until 5:30 p.m. All children must be picked up by 5:30 p.m.
Zumba Fitness Class Community Center

Ditch the workout and join the party! Achieve long-term benefits while experiencing an exciting dance party atmosphere full of Latin and international music. You’ll forget you’re working out with the exotic but easy to follow dance moves to music such as salsa, cha-cha slide, reggaeton, mambo and merengue. The result of this fusion is a fun, energetic workout that feels more like a night out dancing than your standard gym session.

Breakfast with Santa Community Center

Food, music, holiday crafts, and a visit with St. Nick are all in store for those who attend the fifth annual “Breakfast with Santa”. Registration is $8 per person and includes a breakfast of pancakes and sausage, provided by the Pinal County Mounted Posse. Pre-registration is required. Participants who plan on attending this event must be registered to ensure there are enough seats. If your name is not on the list, you will not be admitted into the event.
Letters from Santa
The Town of Florence is teaming up with Santa Clause! Sign up from December 1st through the 15th for a personalized letter from Santa. All letters will be mailed out on Monday, December 18th. Just in time for Christmas! Spots are limited. Register to receive your letter ASAP!

Over The Line “OTL” League Territory Square Multi-Purpose Fields
Over-The-Line (OTL) is a thrilling bat-toball game, similar to recreational softball and baseball. It involves a batter, pitcher, and fielders, however, the pitcher and batter are on the same team and there is no base running - only hitting and fielding.

Objective: For the batter to hit the ball into fair territory without a fielder catching it. Each team is trying to get as many consecutive hits or home runs as possible to outscore the other team.
Team set up: 4 vs. 4 Co-Ed League
2 Males and 2 Females Required Per Team
Award: Given to 1st place winners only
*Only one player from each team needs to register the team of 4

Patriot Day
In honor of September 11th, the Dorothy Nolan Senior Center will deliver a precooked meal to Fire Stations 1 & 2, Florence Police Department and AMR. We thank them for their service, and we will never forget September 11th. You can make donations to assist with this event and even volunteer to assist in delivery. Labor Day Home Improvement Project

Join in on our 6th annual Labor Day Home Improvement Project! Our goal is to raise $500 to help seniors with projects around the house. We will serve $3.00 biscuits and gravy in the morning and walking-taco lunch for $5.00. We will draw one or several winners to donate the money raised to help them with that
Dinner Club
Location To Be Determined project they just couldn’t afford otherwise. Come help make this a successful Labor Day Improvement Project. Specific rules and details available at the center. No registration for this event, pay at senior center day of.
Join us for an evening of dining and friendship. Once a month we will travel to a different restaurant and enjoy an evening of great companionship and cuisine. Leave the driving to us. Fee is for transportation only.
