HARO-PARO A HAVEN FOR EVERYONE A Proposed Low-Rise Relocation Center By: Borres, Buenafe, Cabarles, Cordero, and Erecre BSA 3A / GROUP 2

Background In 2022, a devastating fire broke out in Molo, Iloilo City, leaving hundreds of families homeless. The local government of Iloilo City recognized the need for a relocation center for the affected families, and Tacas Jaro was identified as a possible location due to its relatively large land area and proximity to essential services.

General Objectives Ensure the safety and security of the residents. To create a comfortable and livable environment for the residents.

Our group aims to provide comfortable and safe housing for the displaced residents. We are committed to ensuring that the new community meets the needs of its residents, providing basic utilities such as water, electricity, and waste management.

OPPORTUNITIES Accessible to the resources & audiences from neighboring dwellings. Accessibility of pedestrians and vehicular transportations.

Providing a large complex and outdoor area. Design is flexible.

THREATS Safety & security and environmental concerns.

SOLUTIONS Provide an extra three (3) meter road for the entrance and exit towards the site.

Provide trees at the back of the Iloilo Slaughter House to repel the bad odor from reaching the site.

Provide one (1) tanod post at the entrance and exit for the safety of the temporary residents.

Provide a horticulture facility for the residents to produce an income generating system in the community.

Provide one (1) clubhouse, clinic, park, and playground, and two (2) mini markets to provide opportunities for social interaction and economic development.

Provide a septic tank per block. Place a designated spot for disposal of trash for the MRF.
